Whew, did the Oklahoma need this one.

Moments ago, 2019 4-star offensive tackle, Stacey Wilkins out of Camden, Arkansas announced his commitment to the Sooners via Twitter.

Wilkins was long believed to be a big Oklahoma lean by us and others since visiting for the Oklahoma’s Spring Game. If you’ve been following along with our predictions, this has been more of a “when” rather than an “if” despite Arkansas being an in-state presence.

While still raw, the 6’6″ 280-pound tackle has all the physical markings of an elite edge protector at the next level. Over the course of the summer, Wilkins has attended many high-profile camps and by all accounts has improved each week. Keep in mind, Wilkins is still growing into his jumbo-sized frame, so what you see now is far from the finished product. Once he carries 300+ pounds, the sky is the limit here.

With Wilkins’ commitment, Oklahoma’s 17th commitment in their 2019 class that moves up to 4th in the nation and remains 1st in the Big 12.
